Did you know that you can make scrubs, cleanses and masques for you face using
different foods and plants?



Banana (nourishing, soothing): mash a banana and rub it onto the skin. Let it dry before rubbing off and washing.

Carrot (nourishing, gently exfoliating): finely grate one raw carrot and rub it onto the skin. it's take a several minute to hold.

Cucumber (cooling, hydrating, whitening, astringent): peel and mash a cucumber and use it as a masque. Leave on for several minutes then wash off.

Honey  (nourishing): mix with any fruit or vegetable to make a nourishing mask.

Kiwi  (moisturizing, nourishing): mash a kiwi and use it as a masque. Leave on for several minutes then wash off.

Lemon  (toning, whitening, astringent): add a few drops of lemon juice to any masque.

 

Orange  (hydrating, whitening, astringent, defoliant): add one teaspoon of orange juice to any masque

Strawberries  (astringent, nourishing with vitamin C): make a masque of mashed strawberries

Watermelon  (cooling, hydrating, astringent): rub slices into the skin

Yogurt  (emollient, astringent, soothing): mix 2 table spoons of plain yogurt with 1 teaspoon of honey for a soothing masque.
